To fall in love without reason, without wanting to, can never be explained by logic. It’s a wondrous journey where the beauty grows with every little moment you share. “It never crossed my mind that I would find someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life on Aisle. I had just come out of a bad breakup and wasn’t too keen on the idea of a relationship. It was supposed to be a new start, to meet new people.” Sweety explains. When Sourabh came across Sweety’s profile on Aisle, he decided to send a request “He replied to something I had written on my bio about coffee and that slowly lead to the conversation. We were both from Delhi, and going through his profile, I realized that we have a lot in common. And our conversation took off. I was hesitant in giving my number to a person I just started talking to, so I gave him my Insta Id and carried our conversations there. We started talking around the 7th of September and by the 9th, we decided to meet!!”. She laughs. Recalling their first date, she adds “We decided to meet at a coffee shop. We had just started talking two days back, so there was the obvious awkwardness at first. But somehow I felt comfortable with him and we slowly started talking. And that was it!!” Sweety exclaims. “On the date, when Sourabh came in, he tripped and fell. It was funny but to this day he keeps teasing me saying “I fell for you that day…literally and you didn’t!” she adds chuckling.

From then on they met up whenever they could. “I used to work in Gurgaon and he would come to meet me whenever he had free time. Sometimes we made plans but most of the time we would just wing it. Be it long drives or movies or a coffee together. We wanted to spend time with each other”. Once they realized what they found in each other was special, they decided to take it to the next step. They were not about to leave anything up to fate, so they made sure that everything worked out for them. “We already matched on everything that our families were adamant about. But we still had to get around with the fact that we found each other on a dating up. So we came up with a plan and put ourselves on matrimonial sites and told this to our parents. And once they went through the profiles, I just had to choose Sourabh from the lot and everything went as planned from that point on. He met my family then I met his and our families met…everything worked like clockwork.“ Sweety describes.

Once their families met and everybody was on board, everything went on a fast track. It was smooth sailing for both of them. “We got engaged on the 4th of October, not even a month into our meeting. My birthday happened to fall right after the engagement. Our families had dinner together on the previous day and he couldn’t make it because he was busy. My cousins and I had already planned to go out on my birthday. We were out and going about things when suddenly I saw Sourabh. He went out of his way to come wish me in person. It was the sweetest thing he did and it made my day” Sweety says.

Sweety and Sourabh tied their knot on the 7th of December 2019. “To be honest, both of us never got the time to enjoy each other’s company. I mean, we had just started speaking to each other in September, we had our engagement in October and our marriage was in December. It’s unreal, even just thinking about it. We both knew we liked to travel and planned our honeymoon to Bali and Malaysia. We had a lot of fun traveling. He had the most amazing surprise planned for me while we were in Bali. He had booked a private cabana and planned a date night. It was surreal!! And so when the lockdown in March happened, we realized that we might not get a chance to go traveling like we planned to. Although to be honest, apart from missing the traveling bit, everything else worked out. We are spending a lot of time together at home. And because we spent very less time together before marriage, I feel like we have a lot to talk about. We’ve even set aside an hour or so for us to just talk. It’s now become a routine” Sweety laughs. Sweety and Sourabh’s journey shows that a relationship is not always based on the time spent together rather based on the foundation that’s built together. “Our tastes do differ but we make it a point to find something that we both enjoy. We respect each other and support each other. No matter what problems we face, we make sure we face it together and I feel like it helps us grow stronger and closer” Sweety smiles.

Aisle wishes this beautiful couple all the happiness in the world!
